Civic Ontario today unveiled a new brand identity and website that reflect its renewed purpose as the professional body for executive leaders operating at the centre of Ontario’s civic systems.

Grounded in the tagline, Executive Leadership for Strong Communities, the new brand expresses Civic Ontario’s commitment to developing, connecting, and supporting executive leaders from municipalities, public institutions, and community organizations who share responsibility for the future of Ontario’s communities.

The new media channels bring that identity to life in a more visible, modern, and accessible digital presence. It is designed to better reflect the organization’s focus on executive leadership, cross-system connection, and practical learning, while making it easier for members and partners to engage with Civic Ontario’s programs, events, insights, and resources.

"This rebrand is more than a visual change," said Civic Ontario President Denise Corry. "It is a clearer expression of who we are, who we serve, and why this work matters. Across Ontario, executive leaders are navigating growing complexity, rising expectations, and challenges that move across institutions and sectors. Civic Ontario exists to strengthen the leadership that helps communities function and thrive."

The organization’s renewed positioning reflects the reality that municipalities, hospitals, universities, public agencies, and other civic institutions do not operate in isolation. Civic Ontario’s role is to create the conditions for stronger judgment, broader perspective, and deeper alignment among the leaders guiding those systems.
